| Randy Johnson | | randy johnson finally won his 300th game! It was about time! At age 45! Johnson should hit 300 wins earlier if he was bothered by back problems in the past few years! Congrandulations to randy johnson are your 300th win! I don't think we will see another 300th game winner for quite awihle! | |
| | Randy Johnson going back to the Arizona Diamondbacks | | After a few years struggling in New York for the Yankees, Randy Johnson will be heading back to Arizona with a big contract extension to finish out his ML career. Do you think he will do well back in AZ? Is the 43-year old getting too far up there in years to have great success? Maybe you think this is just a publicity stunt by the Diamondbacks? I am interested in seeing how people feel that this one will play out in 2007. | |
| | | Do You Have A Youtube Favorites List? | | I like looking for rare videos on youtube and adding them to my favorites. Theres some uniqe videos out there. Theres one I like to call the bird ball where pitcher Randy Johnson threw a ball where a bird happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and was victom of one of his fast balls. | |
| | Kurt Schilling | | I just heard that Kurt may retire. What is your favorite memory of seeing Kurt play? Mine is the pitching clinic that he and Randy Johnson put on to win in Arizona. How about you? | |
| | Shocked, Stunned, What more to say | | I can't believe the Rockies have been getting destroyed that bad. I figured it would be a series and wouldn't end in a sweep but geez, are the Rockies even trying? I don't get it at all. Boston is on the verge of taking their 7th World Series title and 2nd since 2004. I'm just surprised it's nearly over just like that.Colorado really needs to get on the ball and put some effort into their team. It's like they're almost letting Boston walk all over them. I realize that yes the series isn't over and yes they could come back and win it but what are the odds of that happening? Odds are this series this all but officially over.Boston has had some good pitching no questions asked about it. I'm just simply stating you'd think Colorado would have put up a better fight than they have at this very moment.Red Sox nation will be happy once the series is over. I had thought Colorado would have done a better job but I guess I was wrong. The question is are going to start Beckett and see if they can become the 2nd man (I believe) in post-season history to win 5 games, with the 1st being Randy Johnson? I would guess maybe as Wakefield isn't pitching and on the World Series roster but... | |
| | what is the toughest thing to do in pro sports? | | I was having a discussion with a peer the other night and he had the nerver to bad mouth America's past time...BASEBALL! I said it was America's sport and he replied with, "I dont know how much sport is involved". This lead to a huge debate in which I stated that hitting a baseball thrown by a Randy Johnson in his prime, or Josh Beckett now is the TOUGHEST thing to have to do in sports. Johnson threw a 105mph fastball, accompanied by a slider that broke 3 feet! By the time that leaves his hand you must determine if that is gonna be a wicked slider, fast fastball, or mean changeup! If you think a second too long and its a fastball, its past you! Plus, in the back of your mind you have to be thinkin of what it feels like to be hit by a rock hard ball being thrown 105 MPH!!!!!!!!! Anyways, what does the mylot public believe to be the toughest thing to do in sports, IE: making a goal in hockey, making a goal in soccer, returning a punt for TD in football, sinking putts, anything! | |
| | Last nights performances and who will go home tonight? | | Last night was an overall gret show with the three finalists singing three songs each and the judges had plenty to talk about and plenty of comments over the songs that they sang. Here is an article that I read earlier online as to what the judges picks were. Read it and see if you agree!!ROUND #1 -- JUDGE'S CHOICE:JORDIN ("Wishing on a Star" by Rose Royce picked by Simon) -- Jordin's hair looks shorter, and this is the shortest, and sexiest dress we've seen her in. After a couple of "yo's," Randy calls it "a very good vocal" and says that "the run at the end was hot." Paula thinks Simon picked a good song, and it was a "great way to start the show." Simon thinks Jordin "sang it brilliantly." Unfortunately, Simon didn't like the weird jazz arrangement and says it wasn't one of her better performances. BLAKE ("Roxanne" by The Police picked by Paula) -- Blake is still sporting dark hair, and is one of the few guys in the world cool enough to pull off a sweater vest and tie and not look like a dork. Once again, there's a lot of Reverb (I would say "echo effect" but I've been corrected by a commenter) on Blake's vocals. Randy calls it a "great, great performance." He calls... | |
| | Predictions for the 2007 Mariners? | | Do you guys see another last place finish for the 2007 Mariners? I certainly do. This team in such a mess and it has been in a mess ever since Bavasi took over. I miss the glory days of 1995 with Griffey, Randy Johnson, Jay Buhner and Edgar Martinez. | |
| | How should the New york Yankees cut their payroll? | | I think that:
1. Get rid of Randy Johnson he costs us $16 million a year.
2. Trade off Hideki Matsui or Bobby Abreu, Melky Cabrera is as good and costs way less.
3. Get rid of Carl Pavano, he costs like what $10 million and hes barely even pitched yet.
4. Deal Jason Giambi or Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees would get tons of great prospects/players in return and young talent is always good.
5. Bring up Phil Hughes and some other young pitchers instead of Randy Johnson and Carl Pavano.Ok what do you guys think? | |
