| Roger Clemens say it isn't so. | | There are not too many people that I admire in baseball... the ones that stay with teams for their whole careers... cal ripken and tony gwynn in my time. But another person that I always was able to relate to in a way was roger clemens much like nolan ryan.I can't believe he has intentionally taken steroids and if he did I can't even think of what the consequences would be... what is your take on this story? | |

| | Best sport feat ever accomplised? | | Discussion what do you guys think is the most amazing sports feat ever accomplished? My top two I think would have to be Cal Ripken Jr's consecutive games played streak and Lance Armstrong's 7 tour de france victories. | |

I live in Panama City Beach Florida. I am from Baltimore Maryland. There is nothing good in Baltimore Maryland period excepts crabs and cal Ripken. There are beautiful beaches in Panama City Beach, I haven't figured anything else out about this place yet.
Here is a recipe:
Creamy crab dip
1 pound Jumbo lump crab meat
1 package of cream cheese
2 tablespoons of Mayo
1 dash of Worstershire Sauce
Dash of onion salt
Dash of gralic salt
Old BaySoften cream cheese in a bowl in microwave
Mix in mayo, crab meat, worstershire and all psices except the Old Bay
Put in a small baking dish. Put oven on 350 degrees
Bake for 10-12 Minutes
Sprinkle with Old Bay | |
| | Sexiest Man in America-George Clooney?Really? | | I admit he does look good-real good. but I personally dont think he should be the sexiest man in America. Of course we all have our own favorites and mine would be Cal Ripken Jr. I think he is really sexy and his eyes are to die for. Who else would qualify besides Clooney? I dont watch alot of movies or tv anymore so I am not up to date on the latest hotties-maybe Chris Daughtry, the future SMA. | |
| | Ripken, Gwynn, McGwire headline Hall of Fame ballot | | Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn will likely make the hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Mark McGwire was believed to be a virtual lock as well before being linked to alleged steroid use. Ripken, Gwynn and McGwire headline the first-time candidates on the 2007 hall of Fame ballot, which was released on Monday. Jose Canseco, whose book led to a congressional hearing on steroid use in baseball, is also on the ballot for the first time.
Canseco has admitted to using steroids and accused McGwire of also taking performance-enhancing drugs when the two were teammates with the Oakland Athletics. McGwire refused to talk about his past when he appeared before a congressional committee. With 583 career home runs, McGwire would have likely been selected to the hall of Fame. He became the first player to hit 70 home runs in a season in 1998 and followed with 65 in 1999. Canseco hit 462 career homers. Ripken is baseball's ultimate ironman, eclipsing Lou Gehrig's record of 2,130 consecutive games. Ripken spent his entire...
| | McGwire goes on Hall ballot along with Gwynn and Ripken | | Mark McGwire, Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr. headline the first-time candidates on the 2007 baseball writers' Hall of fame ballot released Monday, sure to spark debate on Big Mac's place in history as the steroid era comes under renewed scrutiny. Jose Canseco, whose book last year led to a congressional hearing on steroid use in baseball, also is on the ballot for the first time. Canseco said he used steroids along with McGwire when they were teammates.
McGwire denied using illegal performance-enhancing substances, but when he appeared before a congressional committee, he evaded questions. "I'm not here to talk about the past," was his repeated response. McGwire finished his career with 583 home runs, seventh in baseball history while Canseco, a former MVP, is 30th at 462. Dave Kingman, 34th with 442, has the most home runs for a player who has been on the Hall of fame ballot and was not elected. Gwynn, an eight-time batting champion with San Diego, and Ripken, a two-time MVP with Baltimore, are considered likely to gain election on the first ballot. Ripken played in 2,632...
| | Howard wins NL MVP award | | PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Ryan Howard joked he may resort to stealing bases to cut down on his intentional walks next season. Despite seeing fewer pitches to hit down the stretch, Howard still managed to have an incredible season at the plate and became the second player voted Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player in consecutive years. Howard almost single-handedly thrust the Philadelphia Phillies into playoff contention after a midseason roster purge, and finished with a .313 average, 58 homers and 149 RBIs. The All-Star first baseman walked 108 times, including 33 intentional passes. He didn't go deep in the final nine games and walked 11 times in that span. "Being the competitor I am, you want to go out there and try to get hits," Howard said after beating out 2005 NL MVP Albert Pujols for the award Monday. "When teams take the bat out of your hands, it's a little tough, but that's when you hope the rest of your team can come in and pick you up." A soft-spoken big man with an even bigger swing, Howard's season defied convention. Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Ted Williams and countless other Hall of Famers didn't have as many homers or RBIs... | |
