| Alex Rodriguez out at least 10 weeks - 4 months | | The ongoing saga of A-Rod continues. It was reported today that he has a hip injury and if he chooses the surgery, he will be out for 4 months or if he chooses to rest, he would only be out 10 weeks. He will not play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic and will miss opening day with the New York Yankees. This is a big blow to the Yankees because they don't have a backup who can replace A-Rod and generate the amount of hits or HR's he hits. | |
| | alex rodriguez using steriods | | So I wake up this morning, to the news that alex rodriguez tested positive for steroids. At first I thought to myself, "What the hell was he thinking", after all of this Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa business. But then they say it was back in 2003. Now I am a big A-ROD fan, but an even bigger Derek Jeter and Yankees fan. Some where deep inside me I already knew that he was doing something, I think everyone did. I mean come on look at him his rookie year in Seattle, and look at him now. He went from the body of a Starbucks bus boy to that of a WWE wrestler. In my mind A-ROD is a great player, regardless; but I couldn't help but wonder if his image and accomplishments have been tarnished, because he "cheated"? | |
| | Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids in 2003 | | If no one has heard yet, it was announced today that A-Rod was tested positive for anabolic steriods in 2003 when he was a member of the Texas Rangers and that was the year he was the MVP of the league. Since 2003, A-Rod has not been tested for steroids again. Is this a big deal? Do you think it hurts his chances of making the Hall of Fame even if he hits 800 homeruns before his career is done? | |
| | Joe Torre rips Alex Rodriguez, Brian Cashman in new book | | Has anyone heard the story of what Joe Torre (ex-manager of Yankees, current manager of Dodgers) has said in a book he co-wrote named "The Yankee Years"? He dives into the relationship he has had with the players. He says the worst about A-Rod about how people in the clubhouse called him A-Fraud behind his back and called him phony. Here is another excerpt about A-Rod:"In his own way, Rodriguez was fascinated with Jeter, as if trying to figure out what it was about Jeter that could have bought him so much goodwill. The inside joke in the clubhouse was that Rodriguez' pre-occupation with Jeter recalled the 1992 film, 'Single White Female,' in which a woman becomes obsessed with her roommate to the point of dressing like her."I thought Joe Torre was one of the best managers the Yankees have ever had and it is amazing how he could deal with the media on a daily basis. I understand his decision not to come back last year. I might get this book when it comes out next month to hear Torre's side of the story. | |
| | | Alex Rodriguez cheated with Jose Cansecos wife? | | What the heck is going on here. Jose Canseco is going on and on about how A-Rod has used steroids. He is saying now that he cheated with Canseco's wife? A-Rod has denied it but Canseco said his wife hasn't. Is this guy just loopy? | |
| | Will Alex Rodriguez follow Torre to L.A.? | | Do you think that Alex will become a Dodger? I don't know.It could happen. It may work.L.A. has enough money and they could need another good hitter. What do you think? | |
| | | Shoud Baseball Have Instant Replay | | After last night's call against the Yankees, do you thing they should have instant replays for baseball? All other sports seems to have it. | |
| | Josh Hamilton raised the standards for the home run durby | | Wow Josh Hamilton has become a legend at Yankees stadium he raised the bar for the competition after critics were saying that it was going to be as exciting but it was and it proves that that you dont need big names like Alex Rodriguez or David Ortiz ton show up to the event.SO what did you think of Josh Hamilton performance | |
